Edwin R. Almario

As CleanTech’s Director and Project Manager, Edwin is in charge of overseeing both the internal and external aspects of the company’s projects. Internally, Edwin works directly with the company’s civil and electrical technical teams, purchasing and finance teams, project managers, HR and admin, procurement and logistics, and the liaison officer. Externally, he is responsible for coordinating with the different governing bodies of the country, including the Department of Energy (DOE), Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Philippine Board of Investments (BOI), and the various Local Government Units (LGUs) that are involved with the projects. He is also tasked with coordinating with external privately owned organizations, including the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), Distribution Utilities,  equipment suppliers, technical partners and consultants, and local competitors. 

Edwin was the senior project manager of the 15MW Solar Power Plant and of the connection assets of the Bulacan Solar Energy Corp. (BSEC) which was completed in March 2016. BSEC qualified in the 2nd round of the Feed-in Tariff program of the Department of Energy. He led the project's development works and construction, and is one of the key people that made this project a huge success.

Prior to CleanTech, Edwin garnered a vast portfolio in people and project management from working in Procter and Gamble Philippines, Inc. for 20 years. He is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from the Mapua Institute of Technology.
